Part of my Anopheles project, these large insect wings made with porcelain paperclay are displayed in a wooden suitcase and address the human longing for freedom.

ICARUS / AIIA

The title of this large plaster mold, from which the Icarus wings have been casted, references visually the symmetry of the piece as well as "Allah" and the noun "Ala" meaning Wing in Spanish.
